Our Founder

The founder of US Ghost Adventures cultivated a deep appreciation for history and storytelling through his military service and travels around the world. These experiences shaped his belief in the importance of honoring the past and preserving the stories that connect us to it. At US Ghost Adventures, we are dedicated to more than just ghost stories—we aim to keep history alive and honor the legacies of those who came before us.

Every stop on our tour is backed by historical events, from the bloody battles of the Civil War to the devastating floods and hidden tunnels that shaped the city’s dark past. We meticulously research each haunting, ensuring that the stories you hear are not just legends but true accounts of tragedy and mystery. Exclusive Stories and Locations

For those seeking even more chills, we offer an optional extended tour for an additional fee. This extended adventure includes even spookier stops:

• Hermitage Hotel: Famous for its elegance, but also for the ghostly “White Lady” who is said to wander the halls, forever waiting for someone who never came.

• St. Mary of the Seven Sorrows: Once a makeshift hospital during the Civil War, over 300 soldiers died within its walls. Some say their spirits still haunt the grounds, lingering in sorrow.

• President Polk’s Tomb: Visit the final resting place of President James K. Polk, where his bluish ghost is rumored to roam, unable to find peace.

Why is Nashville so Haunted?

Nashville’s haunted history is as rich as its musical legacy, filled with dark tales and eerie secrets. The city’s location along the river made it a hub for riverboat workers, bringing a seedy and sometimes violent element that left its mark on the streets. The pivotal and bloody Battle of Nashville during the Civil War claimed countless lives, many of whom are said to still roam the battlefields. 

Devastating floods have swept through the city, taking lives and leaving behind restless spirits. Nashville was also a key stop on the Underground Railroad, with secret tunnels running beneath the city—many of which still hold dark, untold stories. These events left an indelible mark on one of the most haunted places in the South.

• Melting Pot: A romantic restaurant with a tragic twist. It’s said that two young lovers said their final goodbyes here, but some believe their spirits never truly left, still lingering in the shadows.

• Ryman Auditorium: The historic Ryman is known for its incredible performances—and its ghostly patron. Captain Ryman himself is said to express his displeasure with certain shows, even from beyond the grave.

• Merchant’s: Dine at this iconic spot, but beware—you might find yourself sharing a meal with the ghost of a Confederate soldier who hasn’t quite moved on.
